OVERVIEW
• Create a more modern environment in the Manitoba Telephone Service retail locations
• To update existing and new format retail locations
• Engage the customer during long wait times
CHALLENGE
• Lengthy waits with limited number of staff members.
• Customers in the store were idle as they waited up to 20 minutes for sales support.
• To educate and inform customers, the many products and services and promotions such as: rate plans, business services, high speed internet, bundle promotions, home monitoring security services
• Targeting appropriate message for various locations: urban, rural and hybrids of both rural and urban
RESULTS
• 18 locations are using digital media using 2 screens in each store located in high visibility areas: behind the cash area and phone bar areas. Additional installations are being scheduled.
• existing agency content was repurposed quickly and effectively
• content was formatted and managed centrally for all locations via networked hosting services.
• a captive audience was being educated on services, products, promotions via the dynamic aspect of the display
• media content was triggered when the customer touched a phone
• content specific to the phone was played such as benefits and features
• the digital media installation was not only an excellent branding tool but was also a tremendous sales assist tool while stimulating and closing up-selling opportunities.
