REVOLUTIONARY DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY AT LAST CATCHES UP TO OUR IMAGINATION
There’s an expression, ‘the sum of the parts are greater than the whole’ that perfectly sums up these unique global display initiatives recently created and produced by Gorrie Tchai Marketing International.
We brought together our New Thinking, the latest production techniques and integrated some amazing technology to create an extraordinary mobile phone launch program, which introduces a new replica phone display each quarter to support a coordinated marketing effort.
The initial launch features a 6 ft giant replica floor display and a mini giant floor display replica presentation of the Samsung Omnia II mobile phone – physical replicas with the intelligence of the real thing.
The exterior of both displays are constructed of metal and vacuum formed plastic with a Samsung 42” touch screen at the heart of the giant replica, and a 23” touch screen for the mini giant replica. Utilizing this blazing fast touch screen technology, a sales person can demonstrate, or prospective purchasers get to interactively discover many of Omnia II’s unique features and special apps, just as if it were a real phone!
Another unique advantage of these displays is that they can be constantly and easily updated. The actual technology stays in place, and Gorrie Tchai simply removes the existing shell and replaces it with the shell of the new phone being promoted. The software replicating the new phone’s operations is quickly uploaded and ready to showcase the attributes of this particular phone.

We have developed and produced these breakthrough units on behalf of Samsung and have produced units in Europe, North America and China. The market has been blown away by the innovation it presents. Samsung is presently utilizing these two displays to reinforce their commitment to the Vancouver Olympics in a Bell Canada Road Show, which is visiting major cities and promoting the Olympics, as well as at selected Bell retailers across the country.
The bottom line is that these extraordinary displays fulfill the demands for outstanding POP. They command more in–store attention, drive more traffic to the store, and by demonstrating the value of additional apps, they enable significant up–sell and profit for the retailer, in this case, Bell Canada.
