Benjamin Moore Mall Kiosk
CLIENT: Benjamin Moore
PROJECT: Benjamin Moore Color Stations
INDUSTRY: Paint Industry
SERVICES: Displays, Spaces and Installation
OVERVIEW
The objective was to develop a new retail experience that would bring greater attention to the Benjamin Moore brand in alternative retail venues other than traditional store settings.
The kiosk is located in malls that are small to medium size. The kiosk appeals to the young, affluent, female who is discriminating in her choices and enjoys engaging in decorating and colour selection. The physical kiosk, occupies a space of 10’x12’. It has an unexpected appearance of a cosmetic colour bar, which truly speaks to style, fashion and colour of the paint selection process. A simple design approach, using white acrylics, glass, brushed metals and wood colour flooring makes it extremely inviting. It allows colour to take centre stage. The kiosk has captivated consumers and has demonstrated that Benjamin Moore can sell paint without actually having stock at the kiosk. The actual product purchase is fulfilled at a conventional store location.
CHALLENGE
The challenge was to develop a new retail channel for brand awareness in high-traffic areas via mall kiosks.
RESULTS
• Dramatic increase in brand awareness.
• Engaged consumers in a non-destination type environment.
• Drove paint fulfillment orders to regional store network.
• Sales of color material at mall kiosks exceeded expectations.
• With this kiosk, Benjamin Moore continues as an innovator, and leader in the paint industry.
