OVERVIEW
Gorrie Marketing was contracted to assess and review the current Duty Free store lay-out and develop a strategic retail design lay-out that would improve store traffic and enhance brand categories and improve sales lift.
CHALLENGE
Using a phased in approach, GMS conducted a series of interviews with Duty Free management, staff and consumers to strategically assess and develop a new block plan that would drive traffic through category adjacencies smoothly, captivate attention and sales with exciting displays and graphic messaging. A central theme was developed to lend an air of consistency and trademark the Duty Free look and feel. A combination of re-cladded existing fixtures and augmentation of new fixtures were professionally installed by our GMS team with no interruption to the daily business.
RESULTS
Duty Free was extremely happy with the new retail store and reported sales lift despite numbers showing that consumer travel was down. As a result, Gorrie Marketing continues to assist the other Duty Free shops across Canada raise the benchmark in their retail offering.
